"Understanding the Impact of Cholesterol on Heart Health"

How cholestrol affect your heart???

Cholesterol is essential part of our body.

It forms parts of cells and covering of nerve cells every where in body ,now question is if it is important then why dangerous??

when circulating blood level of cholesterol goes up in blood ,it rises the tendency  for plaque formation inside the arteries every where in the body including heart arteries, aorta .when these plaque get mature over period of time they can close up these arteries leading to heart attack ,stroke or peripheral gangrene .

Elevated cholesterol

Elevated cholesterol is a condition where you have an excessive number of lipids (fats) in your blood. It's additionally called hyperlipidemia or hypercholesterolemia.

Your body needs a perfect proportion of lipids to work. In the event that you have an excessive number of lipids, your body can't utilize them all. The additional lipids begin to develop in your conduits. They join with different substances in your blood to shape plaque (greasy stores).

This plaque probably won't create any issues for quite a long time, yet over the long run, the plaque quietly gets increasingly big inside your supply routes. For this reason untreated elevated cholesterol is hazardous. Those additional lipids in your blood assist with making the plaque greater without you in any event, knowing it. The best way to realize you have elevated cholesterol is through a blood test.

A blood test, called a lipid profile, lets you know the number of lipids that are flowing in your blood. What is viewed as elevated cholesterol relies upon your age, sex and history of coronary illness.

Good cholesterol versus bad cholesterol

There are a few kinds of lipids. The fundamental ones you've presumably caught wind of are "good cholesterol" and "bad cholesterol."

Good cholesterol is called high-density lipoprotein (HDL). Consider the "H" as signifying "supportive." Your HDL convey cholesterol to your liver. Your liver keeps your cholesterol levels adjusted. It makes sufficient cholesterol to help your body's requirements and disposes of the rest. You should have an adequate number of HDL to convey cholesterol to your liver. Assuming your HDL are excessively low, you'll have a lot of cholesterol flowing in your blood.

Bad cholesterol is called low-density lipoprotein (LDL). This is the offender that makes plaque structure in your courses. Having an excessive number of LDL can prompt coronary illness over the long run.

Reasons for elevated cholesterol

1.Way of life elements and hereditary qualities both assume a part in causing elevated cholesterol. Way of life factors include:

2.Smoking and tobacco use: Smoking brings down your "great cholesterol" (HDL) and raises your "terrible cholesterol" (LDL).

3.Being under a ton of stress: Stress triggers hormonal changes that make your body produce cholesterol.

4.Drinking liquor: An excess of liquor in your body can raise your absolute cholesterol.

Not moving around enough: Actual work like vigorous activity further develops your cholesterol numbers. In the event that you have a work area work or sit a great deal in your spare energy, your body won't create enough "great cholesterol."

Diet: A few food varieties might raise or lower your cholesterol.

Changes in body by elevated cholesterol

Elevated cholesterol causes no  visible change for the vast majority. You could be a long distance runner and have elevated cholesterol. You won't begin to feel symptoms until the elevated cholesterol leads to different issues in your body.Elevated cholesterol raises your risk like peripheral arteries disease, hypertension and stroke. Elevated cholesterol is normal among individuals with diabetes.

For plaque deposition it is not necessary to have high cholesterol

High B.P and diabetes could lead plaque deposition .However high cholesterol it self plays an important role in plaque deposition .

so if some body have high cholesterol with diabeties or coronary artery diseases or high B.P diseases they are at high risk of heart attack or stroke.

if you do not have any risk factor but only isolated high cholestrol level you need to change life style ,exercise , diet,,maintain body ideal  weight.Empower your health  by changing your  lifestyle. If just by changing life style cholesterol does not come to normal range ,then medicinal treatment is required.

In some families high level of cholesterol  is common ,they have more chances to develop heart attack and stroke at early age.Such people need to take extra precautions have to maintain healthy life style, controlled  body weight ,monitor blood sugar level and blood pressure ,avoid smoking .
